1. Who serves the ads

Ads on the Site are served by Google AdSense and, in the future, may be served by other reputable advertising networks. We do not control the exact ads shown. They are selected automatically by those networks.

2. How ads are selected

• Contextual: based on the content of the page you are viewing.
• Personalised: based on your previous browsing and interests, only where permitted by law and, where required, after you have given consent.
• Non-personalised: shown without using cookies or identifiers for personalisation, for example if you opt out.

3. Clear separation of ads and content

Ads are labelled and kept visually separate from the tools and articles on the Site. We do not place ads in a way that could cause accidental clicks, disguise them as navigation or tool controls, or cover content. We will never ask you to click on ads.

4. Your files and ads

Your files and their metadata are never shared with advertisers. They are processed on your device only, so they are never used to select or target ads.

5. No endorsements

The presence of an ad is not an endorsement of the advertiser, product or service. We are not responsible for claims made in ads or for third-party sites you visit through them. If you see an ad you believe is inappropriate or misleading, tell us at the address below and report it to the ad network using the controls in the ad.

6. Affiliate and sponsored content

If we ever include affiliate links or sponsored content, we will clearly label them as such. Any recommendations we make remain based on our own assessment.

7. Controlling the ads you see

• Manage or turn off personalised ads at Google Ads Settings (adssettings.google.com).
• Opt out of interest-based ads from many networks at aboutads.info/choices or youronlinechoices.eu.
• Use your browser’s cookie controls or a consent setting on the Site to limit tracking.
• Use a Global Privacy Control signal to opt out of sale or sharing in jurisdictions that recognise it.

8. Children

The Site is not directed to children. We do not knowingly request personalised advertising for users under the applicable age of consent.
